"I want to learn from
professors who know me
and care about how I do."
From your first day at Benedictine University, you start creating a bond with
your professors, who also serve as your academic advisors. In every
interaction, your professors make it clear that they care about who you are
as well as what you know. Benedictine has a student teacher ratio of 14:1.
That means that your professors get to know your strengths and weaknesses
and can press you to excel. Many research opportunities are also available
with Benedictine faculty members.
As a molecular biology major, philosophy minor and a student of the Scholar's Program, I have had the privilege to meet and learn from a diverse, talented group of professors. I've gone to lectures at other schools and I realize how lucky I am to have the personal student/teacher link at Benedictine University. My professors actually make a sincere effort to make sure I learn the material."

"Most of my professors were more than instructors - they were also my mentors and friends. I think the most important thing a professor taught me was to believe in myself and not to underestimate my potential. His words made a tremendous difference in my college career."
